HAYATI

We’re thrilled to kick off The First Draft Series with a 29-Hour Reading of Hayati, a new play by TLTC CORE Member Leah Mijalski-Fahim.

Over the course of a dinner, three generations of the Wahid family sit for their weekly reunion at an Arabic restaurant. While the night starts casually, it progresses into something out of the ordinary. Nothing can be swept under the rug and kept there forever. It is left to each family member to decide how to get through the night, while grasping to preserve what is left of their rocky relationships.

Invited Presentation: April 26th
